Toute Ensemble is a group of ten musicians, playing early instruments including recorders, windcaps (crumhorns, cornamusen, cortols), shawms, small pipes, harps and hurdygurdy. Our music usually also has a variety of percussion instruments and sometimes we also sing. We all have Elizabethan-type costumes which we enjoy wearing for performances when appropriate.

The band was formed 20 years ago and now plays throughout Plymouth and South East Cornwall at fairs, fêtes, dances, banquets and concerts, especially within Tudor premises, including for the annual Mary Newman Salmon Feast in Saltash, for Plymouth Shakespeare Society, Street festivals, at Stuart House in Liskeard and for Camelford's 750th Charter Celebrations.

Our repertoire varies from very early music (12th century), Renaissance (including the famous Playford dances) early Baroque and folk music through to 21st century pieces, all performed with skill, enthusiasm and a uniquely lively style.
